Porcelain countertops are made from ceramic clay and mineral pigments, making it a 40% stronger surface than granite, quartz, and other materials.

This is a really useful feature, especially when it comes to high temperatures. When you put the pan on the worktop, you can be sure that it won't damage the surface.
Thickness
Porcelain is a delicate and thin material, but don't let that scare you. It's lightweight and available in larger slabs. This means you'll need less seams which make it the perfect material for a large porcelain slab.
